The facts behind infusion care.

When infusion fits.

KRYSTEXXA (pegloticase) treats chronic gout in adults when uric acid and symptoms remain inadequately controlled with appropriate oral therapy, or those medicines are contraindicated. It is not for high uric acid without gout symptoms.

Allow time for care.

Pegloticase is given every two weeks. The infusion takes at least two hours, with additional preparation and monitoring. The prescribing information advises considering approximately one hour of observation afterward.

Your ongoing treatment.

The prescriber assesses methotrexate co-treatment, flare prevention, other medicines, and follow-up. Gout flares can increase when treatment starts. Tell your clinician about heart failure and other health conditions. Do not change medicines without clinical advice.
